Complete And Partial Dentures

A denture is a detachable tool that replaces lost/broken tooth. It is of two types – complete denture and partial denture. When all of the teeth are lost, complete dentures are utilized, whereas partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

How Are Dentures Made?

The process of creating dentures takes several weeks and multiple sessions. After your dentist or prosthodontist (a dentist who specializes in the repair and replacement of teeth) has determined which type of appliance is appropriate for you, you should: Take a series of imprints of your jaw and measurements of how your jaws fit together and how much room there is between them. Make exact duplicates of the denture to be made using models, wax forms, and/or plastic templates. The model is tried several times before the actual one is chosen.
